The story begins in 2008 when an Engineer in the role of Quality Systems Manager while assessing Contractors' management systems, identified a need in the marketplace for a pre-written document that contractors could use to create their own compliant management systems without knowing anything about legislation or Australian standards.
Keeping in mind that an average construction contractor would not be able to write a management system on their own or hiring consultants would be an expensive option, he created the simplest documentation template ever created based on the idea that simplicity leads to easier and quicker successful compliance for all.
The expert behind the creation of the Ensafe Group's Managements Plan and Systems is Salustio Sejas.
Salustio is a Professional Engineer who graduated in 1977 and who's held positions as a Project Engineer, working:
- 2 years in the power engineering sector;
- 3 years in the maintenance of mining plant and equipment;
- 2 years on railways track construction infrastructure;
- 12 years in the Telecommunication industry; and
- 16 years as Management Systems Coordinator in the Civil Works industry.
In his last position as Management Systems Coordinator in a Major Government organisation, he was responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality, OHS and Environmental management systems of the organisation and responsible for the assessment of contractor's management systems.
