Prior to the start of any construction project a suitable environmental impact assessment must have been completed and made available to project staff.

The assessment may be in the form of an Environmental Impact Statement, Review of Environmental Factors (REF) or other suitable assessment document.

The identified aspects and impacts are managed by implementing Environmental Protection Safeguards.
